Painting Rainbows
A new CD album by Sarah Carey in support of Martin House Childrens' Hospice
We are currently raising money for Martin House Children's Hospice by the sale of the Sarah's new CD Painting Rainbows. All proceeds from the sale of the CD are now going to the charity.
As you may know Martin House is based in Boston Spa near Wetherby in West Yorkshire and cares for terminally ill children also offering respite care to families. This is a very worthwhile cause. Please take a minute to look at their website
Sarah is a pupil at Guiseley School and is an aspiring singer/songwriter. The CD comprises nearly all her own compositions in addition to which she performs all vocals and guitar with a little added instrumention from her Dad on violin, viola and bass. We started recording the CD in 2007 completing in November 2008. The CD was pressed by Sony in Austria.
Whilst we got off to an excellent start fundraising was slightly hampered in January when Sarah had a nasty fall and broke both arms! Happily, we are now back on track and the day after the plaster was removed Sarah played to 300 people..
In April 2009 we passed an important milestone and were able to hand over our first significant cheque for £1,000. In fact we have already exceeded this.
If you would like to obtain a CD these can be obtained from Menston Post Office, Playtime Music Kirkgate Arcade Otley or Grove Bookshop Ilkley. Alternatively please e mail [click here] and we'd be happy to mail one out in return for a donation [£5 or more suggested plus postage]
Many thanks
